Do you think being overweight might be contributing or even causing your Heart issues?

If you wish to ignore the fact that lifestyle plays a very significant role in Heart disease then it is up to you, it was just a simple question. Being overweight or obese puts a very significant strain on the Heart which can and does result in many problems with it, which you may not be aware of?

'Hidden' means the person has left the forum.

Just a thought, about 10% of heart attacks occur without any permanent blockages of the coronary arteries.

People who seemingly have few or no risk factors, can have ischaemic heart disease.

I do.

Sometimes we are dammed by our genes not lifestyle.

Sometimes just unlucky.

You seem to be assuming that "being overweight or obese" is an issue here.

Diet does not always mean "reducing diet" - it refers to a pattern of eating and the poster may have meant dietary advice

Hello Hidden

I would advise you to ring the BHF helpline and speak to the cardiac nurse. They will be able to give you some idea of the severity - or not - of these findings.

This is what I did, and it put my mind at rest.

best wishes
