Any advice on gaining life insurance please.

Been through open heart surgery mitral valve repair etc, been over 4 years and every year clean bill of health .

However just about to buy new home and sought insurance and been refused reason as follows:-

I have considered your application carefully and regret that I am unable to offer cover due to a combination of your moderate tricuspid regurgitation and moderate right ventricular dysfunction.

As you can imagine absolutely raging when my consultant states I am all good and gone through what I have for that response from someone whom one would say is a keyboard warrior and potentially has no understanding!!!

Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated please and thank you

I suggest you speak with an insurance broker who knows the marketplace and will be incentivised to get you fixed up.

There was a similar post to yours headed “life insurance with cardiomyopathy “ - a difference disease but relevant. Please read what I and other posters said about this. About two days ago.

Life assurance companies can’t necessarily offer cover for everything, if they did they would soon crash out of business and everyone would suffer.

Sorry although you are now reasonably fit and well you will never be 100%. People here with CVD may have had stents and bypasses will be a lot heathier than they were previously but they will still have CAD in other vessels to a greater or lesser degree.
