High Blood Pressure

HA and triple bypass 5 years ago. Blood pressure has suddenly shot up these last 3 weeks and affected eyesight, Doubling of Losarten and Amlodopine has made no real difference. Anyone with similar symptoms found a cure?

no “cures” to hypertension, just ways to manage it. It could be something in your own lifestyle that has made your pressures increase so is now a good time to review what you, personally, can do to help yourself?

Thank you Happyrosie. Diet, exercise and lifestyle haven’t changed. Just a bit older!

My BP is up, I'm putting it down to bad weather and I'm not as active in the winter months. I cycle 100miles a week minimum, I've done 15 miles this week.

Do you keep a health diary as that may give you indications of changes in food, drink or exercise that might affect you. The weather also plays a huge part and colder temperatures and more humidity will affect you.

The obvious question is whether your diet has notably changed and whether your weight is the right side of acceptable?

Thank you yes. Hence the doubling of Losartan and Amlodopine tablet strengths.
