That does sound low to me . How are you feeling ? I’d call 111 for immediate advice if I was in that position.

Best getting advice from your doctor. Perhaps a change in tablet might regulate it. If your doctor feels it's necessary. You have to average your readings out between the high and low. I was told as a guide b.p should be 60 to 80. Over 120 to 140. Good luck try not to worry. Brian

Steve, of the three drugs you mention only one, candesartan, is for high blood pressure. The other two are for high cholesterol.

I assume that you meant to say that your systolic blood pressure (the higher of the two numbers) is in the 140s. If this was a resting blood pressure the NHS would regard it as high (anything above 135 if measured at home).

Many of us see isolated high figures from time to time, but if you record similar numbers when you repeat the measurements three times at intervals of a few minutes, you should contact your GP to discuss the readings and the dose of candesartan.

Best wishes,

Paul

I was on Candesartan for 9 months and it didn't suit me so I changed a few weeks go. My BP systolic (top) figure would shoot up to 200+, although the diastolic reading wasn't too bad. My GP and hospital consultants consider 140 top figure as acceptable.
