Had triple bypass February 2023. I have thus stich like feeling on left side of my chest whenever I move. Been to doctors. She said it might be where the nerves haven't grown back together properly. It's really uncomfortable. But said nothing can be done. Has anyone else had this condition

Hi- I also had triple CABG Feb 23. I very occasionally get a pain in left side as you describe- i usually put it down to twisting or sitting badly for too long. But it could be nerves still reconnecting as I still have sensations returning in other areas that were nerve damaged. Hope you are doing well otherwise.... quite a journey isn't it.

Appreciate your reply. It's really weird the feeling on the left of the scar. It feels like a stich I used to get when I was running at school. Very strange. I do as well have to be careful what shirt I wear as when it rubs on my left side it's not nice. I have been to doctors but she can't give me any clues accept saying it might be the nerves. Strange thing is I got all clear to start playing golf again. And don't have any problem with going round 18 holes. Considering I am 68. As you say it has been quite a mission to get back to some kind of normality. I Hooe u are well..

Having read your reply to APC65, it sounds like it is quite close to the scar. I haven't suffered the same thing as you but what I did notice after my sternotomy, is that if I tilted my head back as far as it would go as if looking straight above, I got a sharp pain like something something sharp digging in right at the top of my scar which is near the throat. The skin at the front of the throat is stretched a little when you tilt your head backwards and I came to the conclusion that it was one of the sternal wires probably where they tied the knot that was digging in. I was just so happy to be alive that I would have happily put up with this pain, but it did get better on its own. I can't remember the time frame now because it was 11 years ago.

I'm 9 weeks post and I still get the feeling wingnutty describes (though mine feels a bit deeper, like it's something on the back of my sternum). Good to know it eases with time.

To be honest I had loads of unusual pains due to the operation. But 95% have gone now. Just the stich pains. And uncomfortable feeling when shirt rubs on my chest to left of scar. But I will take all those to still be alive and kicking..
