Hi everyone, I hope most of us are well a part from a few on here which are recovering :).
I’ve recently noticed over the last couple of months (2-3months) a slight change in my ECGs. I have attached a reading from early hours of the morning last night when I was suddenly awoken with pain in my upper back, right shoulder blade and chest. This was also accompanied by sweating; however, subsided after a while. I took an ECG and I have noticed that there are “mini” waves present in my ECGs from last night and from the last couple of months. My cardiologist said this is nothing to worry about?
I appreciate that this isn’t a platform where there are trained medical professionals, but I do want to be able to have a basic understanding of my ECG readings. I’m hoping someone can help me interpret these to some degree.
I have attached a close up of the ECG.
Thank you x

I appreciate that the ECGs are not accurate on any type of a watch unless it’s the ECG monitor itself. I have just noticed a pattern of these “mini” waves in almost all of my ECGs from the last couple of months, and it has been playing on my mind a bit.
Echo what's said by Thatwasunexpected, looks like artefact, any wearable ECG is very susceptible to "noise" whether it is movement, poor electrical contact or interference. My Kardia is a ultra sensitive, if I move a tiny bit or make a noise it looks like a spider crawled all over the trace. If your doctor is fine and all of your "in house" ECG's are good, I would go with his/her advice.
As much of a godsend these wearable's are they also throw up as many anomalies, fine if you are a non hearty who love's a bit of data for Strava et al, but us hearties love to "know" the detail of what's going on with our tickers, thus they are not perfect by any stretch.
I’ve had an exact same ecg from my Apple Watch. Wasn’t that concerned but when I saw my EP I showed him to ask what it was. He said straight away. Artifact and that was it.
Dear Tos92
I think that your Cardiologist was being polite when he/she said that they were not worried by your Apple Watch reading,
They were basically say that the reading are rubbish from this and many other watch type readers.
The worst part of these contraptions are that they install worry to the owners, if you read the small print { runs for pages and pages so who does } you will see that the great and big apple corporation even distances itself from any reading by call them " Guidelines "
If you feel that you need to monitor your heart then the best thing to do is buy the best monitor you can afford.
No one has on there health records any reading taken from a home product. They are responsible for a lot of fear inducing information ending with some even visiting A&E with anxiety over their findings.
ok after reading the replies… i’m sticking with my Apple watch SE… no upgrading to one that has an ECG option😂. might save up and buy one of those wee Kardia things
