As well as AF I have a diagnosis of Severe Dysfunction in my Left Ventricle. I've been prescribed a number of meds to help . I believe that the severe dysfunction of the LV in part may of been caused by my excessive alcohol drinking prior to my diagnosis.
Would this dysfunction be the reason my AF is persistent or do I have severe LV dysfunction because I have persistent AF?
I've stopped drinking alcohol since I noticed AF(6 weeks) as well as continuing to exercise and eat healthy, along with my meds could my LV function improve?

Thanks for the reply. It's nice to know there's hope. I've only had the diagnosis for a week and since then my whole world has turned upside down. My wife is very supportive but even I know there is a limit to how much of my anxiety she can listen to in one day.
