I was diagnosed with paroxismal AF 2 years ago and have taken bisoprolol and edoxaban since then. I have recently changed to a new fitbit and am suddenly getting crazily high heart rate numbers while I sleep! I take my meds at breakfast as normal and daytime readings rarely reach 130 even when exercising. Should I be worried?

Night-time heart rate.
I wouldn't trust a Fitbit much for that type of thing. KardiaMobile is supposed to be much more reliable, but I don't think it will give you readings overnight....
Hi, I was diagnosed with AFib 2 months ago ( I think persistent as I've bought a Kardia mobile and every time I check I'm in AFib and I also had a echocardiogram at hospital last week and technician confirmed was in AFib throughout the scan). I have been told by GP and Cardio rehab nurse ( I had a HA in April) that smart watches do not give accurate pulse readings with AFib , Like you my daytime rate never shows above 120 (meds effect mainly bisoprolol) but when I used to set the Fitbit to monitor AFib the only occurrences were at night and showed 31 bpm to 160 bpm albeit for a split second. Medics advised don't wear it at night or at least turn the notification off (which I've done). I'm waiting for referral to AF clinic and hoping that's soon...good luck with getting things sorted.
Maybe you should see about reviewing your meds with your doctor. Sleeping position can effect electrical activity in your heart as well I have read.
