hi everyone . I just wanted a bit of advice . I’m 43, work out everyday for 30-40 minutes. I’ve been having dizzy episodes and have been treated for vertigo , it happens on a regular basis . I recently bought a garmin watch and it tracks my heart rate . At rest my heart rate is 41-44 . Is this normal as I’m reading that a heart rate of this amount can cause fainting and dizziness

have a look at the website of the charity Blood Pressure UK. It might give some help there.
Arrange an appointment with your GP, who is best placed to review your circumstances and your medical record and decide what needs to be done.
I would see gp, I had low heart rate and needed further treatment but every case is different but I would seek professional advice.
if you regularly work out, particularly aerobically, low 40s is not an unusually low heart rate. And vertigo can be caused by inner ear issues or BP issues. Perhaps see your doc about the vertigo and try to resist the urge to diagnose this yourself.
For what it’s worth, my heart rate was typically low 40s ( high 30s while sleeping) and I at one point had vertigo issues. Doc had exercises involving tilting head that I think loosened up sticky bones in inner ear. Vertigo went away in time and I kept my healthy low heart rate.
Does resting mean at night? If it's that low during day then you should see gp,as under 50 isn't good for your whole body
Hi Emem, deffo get checked out , low resting HR for me too (not as low as yours though!) 46-48, working rate can get pretty high and good variability. Trouble is , it can be an indicator or good cardio fitness but still mask a cardiac issue. I went to my GP as I thought my testosterone might have dropped , I started feeling very fatigued in the day , falling asleep and started to skip my training regularly so that I had enough energy to do my physical chores around our small holding. Got tested for B12, thyroid , testosterone etc all came back normal . 6 weeks later I had Nstemi heart attack. Apparently fatigue was a big clue but I didn’t present as a cardiac risk patient , HR , BP all good 👍🏻. This is only to impress upon you that you may need to push a bit with your GP to check all aspects of your symptoms . Keep us updated 👍🏻👍🏻
Mine is the same. They reduced my Ramapril to try and reduce my dizziness on standing up from sitting. If I get up too fast then my head spins so much and end up hanging into the door frame until it goes away, Normally in about 15 secs. Doctors told me they would be concerned if it went regularly below 40.I'm thinking of going to have another chat with them as it seems to be getting worse.
I can control it be getting up real slow so the blood can pump to me head as I get up. It was explained to me that if I get up to fast I'm up before the blood gets there and this causes the dizziness. I have fainted once and been close so many times.
Have a serious chat with your doctor if you get dizzy.
hi
I’m 64, trained all my life. my resting pulse rate is between 40 and 44. Drops into the 30’s at night which was fun for the night nurses in hospital.
Your pulse rate may be perfectly normal for you if it’s been that way over time particularly as you’ve a good fitness level however there are many causes of dizziness and as others have advised, best to discuss with a medical professional.
My heart rate is 43 with a similar level of exercise and I have no issues.
I did have issues initially when they had me on Bisoprolol but since coming off it all good. A lot of these pills seem to have a side affect of dizziness so worth checking out your medication with the doctor
Hi my heart rest is always round 48 50 sometimes lower! When I tell doc they say that's ol
