Hi... I now have a heart rate of 42 bpm... change in meds... feeling drained, sickly and have a slight headache... obviously I am taking meds to slow my heart rate, but it was 60-64... any cause for concern?...

I suspect that you have have hypotension? Do you have a BP meter - I recommend the Omron. Your heart rate might be a bit low. How long ago was your medication changed? I think you should call your GP or 111 if it gets really worrying over the next two days!

I would call your md. You have some symptoms in addition to the low heart rate. Asking a few questions is probably the best thing to do.

When I was an endurance athlete, a pulse of 30 was OK.

When I had Atrial Fibrillation and my pulse was getting down to 30 at night, it was not OK, and my SPO2 was getting down to 75 at night - some days I woke up paralysed from the eyelids down.

Not what you're looking for?
