Advice with head pain related to heart?

Hi everyone, my father has been suffering from extreme head pain, lightheadness, spells of blacking out, paleness, nausea and other symptoms. He has had two MRIs on his head which the neurologist keep referring him back to the cardiology team as they keep saying it’s fine. They have done a myocardial infusion test which came back normal, however they wouldn’t allow him to do the treadmill test as they said his blood pressure was so high he’d have a heart attack. He has been suggested for tilt table test which hopefully comes soon. He has also got AF which cardiologists said he doesn’t need medication for yet other people have questioned them that he needs to be. Just wondered if anyone has any head pain that could be related to the heart or if it is any other possible reasonings as this is the main issue of concern. Thank you!!

Hi, sorry to hear about your dad. I’ve had a few symptoms similar but don’t have a lot of what is going on with your dad. Hopefully other people will answer you soon with more experiences in these things. I had lower head neck pain which came on whilst out walking thought it was to do with my discs in neck and back but turned out to be postural orthostatic hypotension which are similar symptoms to POTS I believe. I also had this really bad when feeling lightheaded dizzy sick and passing out. It’s called coat hanger syndrome if you look it up. I’ve got low blood pressure (hypo) which is different to your dad but I also have Bigeminy Arrhythmia which is fast beats with slow beats. I had a bad episode and ended up in hospital for a week wired up with leads all over me and that’s when I got a proper diagnosis. Hence having a CRT-D (Cardiac Resynchronisation Therapy Device with Defibrillator fitted which was a year ago. I feel it has saved my life. The next time he has a bad episode I would suggest calling 999 let the paramedics come to him and he will probably be admitted and they will do all the necessary tests in hospital to sort out what they can do for him Best of luck and hope you have some answers soon. Joy x
