It could be an arrhythmia or bradycardia. I suffer from light headedness because of this. Do you have something to read your heart beat like an Apple Watch or Kardia?

Have you spoken to your GP. It could be an inner ear issue brought on by infection or calcification.

Get yourself checked out by your GP. And if you drive a vehicle I suggest you don't until you are sorted.

Here is an article on dizziness

I suspect one of your medications-I have become increasingly suspicious of Statins in this regards. Could also be lack of hydration, an ear infection and lots of other things

I am 62 and on 20mg Rosuvastatin and aspirin. I have BPPV, it comes and goes. I’m not worried about it.

BPPV is caused by a problem in your inner ear. Your semicircular canals are found inside your ear. They detect motion and send this information to your brain. The utricle is a nearby part of the ear. It contains calcium crystals (canaliths) that help it detect movement.

Sometimes these crystals detach from the utricle and end up inside the semicircular canals. When these crystals move inside the canals, they may send incorrect signals to your brain about your position. This can make you feel like the world is spinning. This is called vertigo.

I get BPPV from time to time, I can always tell as it makes me feel dizzy when turning over in bed. I've found the Semont Manoevre done a few time works for me as it's simple and quick

Check side effects of any meds you are on. Keep well hydrated. Then go have a chat with your health care provider. Always a good thing to get things sorted. ❤

Depends what medication you are taking?? I would ask pharmacist as they will help with knowledge of side effects

Yes I suffer dizziness regularly, speak to your GP. They are trying to find what causes it for me, they want me to have a 24 hour heart monitor, I have been waiting to have it for about 6 months

yes I suffer from dizziness when getting up. It’s a side effect of some of my medication and also a side effect of my non compaction heart condition.

When I have been sitting relaxing and then get up I sometimes get dizzy. By the time I get to check my BP it is normal. The occurrence is just transitory caused by a low pulse rate courtesy of my beta blocker. If it were more than transitory, I would be consulting my GP.

Make an appointment to see a doctor. You mind need an ecg.

hi. Sorry to hear that. My husband suffers from vestibular disfunction — an inner ear imbalance that makes people dizzy, sick etc. Hope you haven’t got that, but maybe get it checked out?

Hi Alfie33, I have the same symptoms as you, especially in the evenings when I'm sitting for longer periods. My BP is on the low side and my cardiac nurse advised me to stamp my feet for about 30 seconds before rising, it does help. Take care.

Could it be that your blood sugar is low? Or that you are anaemic. There are so many possible causes that your GP is the best person to advise.

I am anaemic yes I never thought of that

Bisoprolol used to do that to me, the doctor dropped it

Yes. Usually two or three times a day. I hang on to walls and people to stop from falling. It also happens when I’m just sat down relaxing - woosh, then I regain myself after a few seconds.

I've had lots of problems with dizziness over the years, but now I take a ginger tablet every day as I know it helps with motion sickness and it works for me. It took a few weeks though. It maybe a placebo, but it's worth a try and it won't do you any harm

I don't get dizzy as such but sometimes lightheaded which appears to be a side effect of Amlodopine.

Try standing up 5 seconds after initializing the BP test. If your BP drops then it is the cause.

My BP was sitting on lower side, and was on 2.5mg Bisoprolol 2 Daily. Found feeling dizzy if standing up to quick etc, eventually spoke with GP, after I collapsed a few times, so had meds halved, seems to be making huge difference, but that maybe not same issue with yourself

I get very dizzy, equilibrium, not good, broken skull since Jan 2018, causes it, especially when getting up from sitting or off ground position, my blood pressure is ok, heart rate fine, I know that is what is causing it, when getting up have to hold onto wall nearest vertical object, for 10-20 seconds until equilibrium settles. Doubtful if you are in the same condition, but similar symptoms as yourself?
