Woohoo! 1 year anniversary since my quadruple CABG 🙌🏻

Wow! Hard to believe that it’s been a year since I had quadruple bypass heart surgery following an Nstemi heart attack. I am so grateful. This last month has been pretty eventful too. I got the opportunity to thank two people that really contributed to my path of treatment and therefore my rebirth and recovery. You’ll know earlier this month , on the actual anniversary of my heart attack, I got stung twice by hornet and ended up with anaphylactic shock and in A&E again 🤦🏼. Spookily I was treated by the same paramedic at home and doctor in hospital that tended to me when I had my heart attack .. I got the opportunity to thank them personally for their due diligence. The paramedic insisted on me going into hospital for a trop count when I had heart attack as my ECG showed I was ok .., the doctor was on the cusp of sending me home after 1 blood test ( follow up slow time) that was pretty insignificant , as I looked so fit , healthy and strong in the corridor of A&E… thankfully he did second test that confirmed my heart attack and I was kept in , moved to St Thomas , monitored and operated on 12 days later. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻.

So glad I got to thank them. I’ve had a wonderful month . We got the hay in by 2nd July, can’t believe that either 🙌🏻🤣. A stressful time of year always . Our neighbours are still mowing and trying to get it done . Fantastic ride outs on my Harley Sportster, managed to get out last Sunday with a Harley group and I’m looking to link up with another hearty on this forum for a nice rude and a coffee in the Kent/Sussex countryside 👌🏻

Celebrated my eldest’s 30th birthday, a fab meal out and loads of laughter with 3 generations of family.

Had a lovely afternoon off with Mrs Wizza on Hythe beach last Saturday , took a picnic , a dip in the sea for a swim for me and coffee & cake at The Waterfront before driving home through the back lanes . Perfect.

Loving life and reflecting on how far I’ve come. Thank you all for sharing so much over the last year. This forum is such an important resource and place of support. Sadly , we will keep on having new members. We’ve lost a couple this year, it’s very sad and humbling. Let’s just keep on keeping on , do what we can for our circumstances and keep supporting each other . 🙏🙏🙏

My goal is to try and not cause Mrs Wizza any more stress 🤦🏼… she deserves a medal with what I’ve put her through recently. 🥇

Congratulations on your bypass anniversary! 🍾 My quadruple was six on the 6th June so I have now hit Silver Bypass years (bypasses X years)! A former colleague's father passed 40 years since his bypass in about 2017 but nobody kept in touch after I was axed 10 weeks after returning to work after my bypass!
