Hi to everyone. Soon I think I have to have a TAVI fitted for the Aorta, because of other health problems Cardiac Surgeon did not recommend open heart surgery. Only alternative is to go for the TAVI.
I studied and practised a martial art called Ninjutsu until a back injury forced me to leave. I now practise Wudang Tai Chi and Qi Gong online under a Master Gu in Wudang mountains, China. I like nature and open air. Studying Chinese language at moment ( Mandarin ) It is very hard "HELP"!
I am retired now. I do not go out very much, but I have some good friends who come around now and again so that is good! They keep my spirit up and it is nice to see them, but I understand they have families and busy lives. But I do appreciate their time with me!
I Hope to meet some of you and hear your stories soon. I just run out of things to say about myself!, I am not really boring and I have a good sense of humour and love to laugh. So see you all soon and take care. 🙏😀👍

hi Kujji thanks for posting about the Tai Chi I will definitely check it out- I too have a lot of time on my hands as recently stopped working due to anxiety/ AFib- doing my best to try and occupy my time I’ve tried a few local activities in community centres Also trying to sort meds out as a lot of rubbish side effects
look up Taichi anywhere near you or online, I do mine online with a Master Gu and his training Type in WTWA it is a years course, I think it goes on 3 year course. Taiji is very good gentle and relaxing movements, it is a Martial Art don't let the slowness of it confuse you each movement is designed to be turned into powerful methods of defence. For the time being practice the slow movements and get them perfected this will come in time. There are many styles of Taiji, but Master Gu is one of the best he comes from the Wudang Mountains in China and speaks very good English. I hope you find a Style that suits you and Best Wishes. He also teaches Daoism and Chinese culture. There is another person you might want to contact he is George Thompson and he runs a place online called Wayfinders also I believe there is an American Wayfinders all connected to George and he is a student of Master Gu. George runs hi own courses here in England Taiji, Meditation, Daoism, Book Club and more I belong to both Wayfinders and the WTWA. I hope this peaks your interests in a very Ancient Art. With Regards John.
Hi John- I went on YouTube and found master Gu- he went a bit fast for me when showing movements but there was a lovely lady a bit further down who did some wonderful slower movements- easier for this “old bird” to follow! I have researched locally for tai chi sessions- there are two dojo’s - nobody answering their phones atm so will keep trying.
That's wonderful I hope you find something local and a bit easier for you. I am sure you are not an old bird Haha, I myself was 70 this last February. So keep looking and let me know how your getting on, if you would like too!
