I’ve been on Farxiga for 3 weeks and yesterday and today I’ve had a bad headache, which I don’t recall having to any degree during my life. It is a symptom of hypoglycemia. Any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

headache with farxiga
Hi am. I had to stop taking Dapagliflozin after 2 weeks because I got the most appaling backache. But that started immediately. If your headaches have only started after 3 weeks, it could well be something else. Headaches aren't listed as a major side effect. Do you know that you're hypoglycemic, or are you just assuming? There could be any number of other reasons for a headache, like dehydration. (I switched to Empagliflozin and haven't had any problems with that.)
Hi Allison. I’m not sure if I was hypoglycemic but I have had a similar feeling of being dizzy since I started Farxiga. However, I didn’t take it today and have no headache. Thanks for your reply.
Btw, it could have been dehydration since that’s a side effect of Farxiga.
I am on a fluid restriction because of heart failure , but I am now on 5 mg tab of the Farxiga , and have some strange pains in the head , not a throbbing headache . I take 10 gms Bisopropol , digoxin and bumetenide as well as warfarin ( self tested )
I have been taking warfarin for 15 years. I drink 2 liters of water daily, plus coffee and sometimes a diet soda. I had the headache for 2 days and was advised to stop the 10mg of Farxiga for a couple of days. The headache went away. I started back this morning. About 2 - 3 hours after taking it I feel a little dizzy and my heart rate drops a good bit. I must not drink enough water right after I wake up. It appears that I must have been dehydrated, which also causes your heart rate to drop. Wish you the best. Cheers.
