Hello all,

Bit of a daft question, is sunflower oil in canned fish OK to have with a heart condition? There is conflicting info on Web, but we are advised to eat oily fish.

Thanks.

Would be better if it were in olive oil, not sure how much oil is retained once the fish is drained

If it is prevalance you are looking at , most shops have it in brine or spring water, hence no oil

What about trying some in spring water and if you don't like the taste, add a little olive oil? Just a thought.
