Hello all - just wanted to say it's great to have found this group and it's been reassuring to read a lot of the posts here. I was told I would have to wait until October - January for my valve replacement but things have moved quickly in the past couple of weeks. I am now being admitted on Monday with surgery on the Tuesday. Good to know there is support here for afterwards as well as before.

HiI'm also going into hospital on Monday. Having a triple bypass on Tuesday.

I find this forum very useful. I'm sure I'll be using it a lot soon!

I had a triple Bypass and I am so anxious that if I did it you will as well as the poster that is having a valve replacement

Just wanted to wish you all the best for Tuesday you will be fine and like I said to the poster be back home to hopefully start your recovery with some lovely weather to enjoy

Hi stevetheadi, did wonder when you were rebooked for (remembering from a posts a couple of weeks ago). Great relief to be going in - from the moment of being booked in you will be in great care and then able to start rebuilding. All the best to you both for next week!

I have not had a valve replacement but a triple heart Bypass and things do seem to have moved quick for you but maybe that is a good thing as it does not leave you to much to time to think about it

It will be a relief that it is done and you will be home recovering in time to enjoy some nice weather

Blessings GreenQueen1, you're right. It's people supporting other people, a wonderful thing!

I like to gripe about certain things, I'm sure we all do.. NHS should also take the initiative to change, in supporting patients before and after by putting together physical group meetings, learning hubs, for patients and previous patients of all types of illnesses.

People have to resort to find out things themselves these days a lot more via the help and support of forums like this. Whereas it could be done through the official medical channels too.. Just my 2cents.
