Cabg triple bypass 4 yrs ago after 2 Ha's, 1 month ago HA and now on 5 more drugs for helping the heart more and angina.

How soon is it possible to fly after this, my thinking is might as well rest in the sun as in the rain. Fit enough in my self - doing fair bit of walking, not out of breath or any other symptons.

before you even think of it, make sure you can get travel insurance. Have you had cardio rehab? They should be advising you.

Not had been on the rehab course yet, due for assessment end of July. I have been on it before so know what it is about.

First ask your GP as some companies will ask for a letter sayingyou are fit to travel. If your GP does not think you fit enough you will not get insurance.

Secondly ask companies like StaySure and AllClear for quotes. In some instances they will want you free of issues for three to six months post event.

The Channel Islands although not coming under the NHS do have reciprocal healthcare arrangements so emergency care is free.

And lastly avoid very warm/hot places as 30+ often floors hearty hearties!
