Hi, I asked the question last year re- CoQ10 and got some good responses, see link.

healthunlocked.com/bhf/post...

After discussing with my Cardiologist, I decided it wasn't for me, but, others seemed to find it useful.

my cardiologist recommended CoQ10 for energy and I’ve taken it for 4 years now. Have to say I do think it’s given me more energy. I suppose it could be psychological but I wouldn’t stop taking it. She did say you need the fat soluble type and one that’s 200mg. I take one a day.

I've been on CoQ10 long before my heart issues but I upped the dose to 200mg once a day like Lakky12. I don't know about more energy though. I'm taking it to support my heart. The BHF are sponsoring a study into CoQ10 for heart patients at the moment

I take both these ad have done for a long time. Problem is with any of these supplements or even medication is that I don’t know what I would be like without them and so don’t dare try. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!

I believe in the US it’s prescribed as a matter of course if you take statins which deplete it and it’s needed by the body and also declines with age: healthline.com/health/coq10...

I started taking CoQ10 supplements last year when I read that stain drugs lower the natural levels in the body. Here is the link mayoclinic.org/drugs-supple.... I don't have any side effects from taking CoQ10 except in my wallet - they're expensive!

I have been on Ubiquinol since I started taking statins some years ago. Many countries prescribe COQ10 along with statins: for some reason - I suspect cost - the NHS has never done so.
