Hello :-)

Well that is good news you have stuck with the Bisoprolol and starting to get used to it :-)

Good for you !

It has been quite warm here today not sure if it has where you are but that can have an effect at the end of the day

Have you eaten enough and had plenty of liquids as that can also make us feel this way

You may just be tired and need a rest after a busy day at work :-)

Try not to worry you will be fine :-) x

Hello :-)

If you do not drink enough fluids especially when it is warm that can make you feel that way :-)

Don't worry we all get those moments when we feel like this sometimes :-) x

You could speak to your local pharmacist, who may well be able to advise about another time of day to take it. Or call BHF Heart Helpline team on 0300 330 3311 Mon-Fri 9-5pm or email hearthelpline@bhf.org.uk

Hi. I’ve been put on bisoprolol at 1.25mg. In order to have the least side effects, I’ve been told to take it at bedtime and swap the ramipril to mornings instead. I was told also to drink plenty of water to keep hydrated. It has been warm so maybe you need a bit more water. I would also check your blood pressure if you can because that can drop low too and give you those symptoms.

Being taken blood pressure test for a week got to take to Gp this morning and see what they say.

That’s good because my BP has gone very low so had medication reduced to the minimum. As I had the same symptoms as you. Hope it goes well at doctors but make sure you tell them what’s been happening. Good luck

I take 1.25 ..... suggest you revert to taking evenings with food it worked for me, you don't say what other Meds you take as they also might be the cause

I was told to take it just before bedtime as it gives you those exact symptoms. You get the max benefit but not the light headiness as you’re asleep

I take bimatoprost eyedrops every night,I,ve been told they are a form of beta blocker ,but Gp said there should be a low rate of effect.

That sounds like low blood sugar to me speaking as a T2 diabetic thats how I feel going low, better aft food

I used to take Bisoprolol and noticed that I was tired and lethargic after about an hour or two and read the information about them again which said that you shouldn’t take Bisoprolol if your blood pressure is low, so spoke to my doctor and he said that the 1.25 was a lowish dose and said to stop them.

I have recently had my dose increased to 2.5mg and have been feeling light headed and dizzy, breathless when I get to the top of the stairs and generally feeling really lethargic. I'll be mentioning it to the Consultant when I see him in a couple of weeks. I find it interesting that some of you take it at night time because I was instructed to take it first thing in the morning.

interesting to hear your experiences and others on here as mine are similar. i have been experimenting with taking my single 5mg dose of bisoprolol in evening this week as been finding myself with symptoms of dizziness etc after having it in tje morning. been feeling better in the day but sleep has been poor. I'm also thinking my 10mg dose [2× 5mg morn/evening] of rampiril is causing some of the symptoms of tiredness, dizziness, headaches - so will be experimenting with this too

My pharmasict spoke to me at lenght about starting Bisoprolol and when to stop it. The main issues with this are as follows, it can reduce your BP (dizziness), reduce your HB, therfore take before going to bed. For me so far so good @ 1.25mg evenings. However somedays I feel quite exhausted.
