Been on other statins, Rosuvastatin is the only one I tolerate without nasty side effects so far. Been on it for 10 months now. Are you taking anything else that might be causing this?

If you believe you are suffering from an unpleasant side effect from Rosuvastatin go talk to your prescribing health professional (your GP?) who should be able to offer an alternative statin for you to try. But if it turns out you are statin intolerant and do need medication to manage your lipids, there are also other forms of medication to try.

Hello. Sorry to hear you are having problems with this satin. I also had a problem with another satin and my GP changed me to another satin. Hope I am better with the change but early days at the moment. Please try asking for advise from your GP as like me it's about finding one you are able to tolerate.Good luck.

Hi Alan

How long have you been on the statin ?

I’ve had to change my statin a few times , the one your on does me ok, at first I did feel the same as you but after a few weeks it went away. Good luck

so glad you’ve said this though I’m sorry to hear it. I thought I was going mad but yes I’ve been the same since starting it a few weeks ago. The nausea is dreadful along with the headaches and muscular pain.

My GP changed me to this from Atorvastatin due to my fibromyalgia but it’s worse. I’d been ok on Atorvastatin albeit the lowest dose for two years.

apparently most people can tolerate rosuvastatin, unfortunately I can’t, it made my leg muscles so painful I could barely move. I was the same with atorvastain, I am now on ezetimibe and have been for 6 days, still have slight pain but not as bad as previously so I’m hoping these will settle down.
