I’ve tried looking up the answer to this but no joy (I’m probably looking in the wrong place).
Since my episode of severe chest/back pains and sickness last week and a trip to A&E, I’ve been feeling queasy after food. I’m not eating big meals it passes after a few minutes but I’m scared to eat much as I feel full quite quickly. Could this be heart related? I’m just trying to work out what’s going on with me and I’m scared to trigger another attack.
I don’t know yet if there’s anything wrong with my heart apart from the fact that I’m convinced I had a heart attack (had another episode 3 weeks ago too) and the ecg and blood test didn’t pick it up. Could bloods be wrong? I have an echocardiogram tomorrow plus a 24hr blood pressure monitor and 24 holter monitor both this week. So will hopefully get some answers soon.
Thanks.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Its hard going through all of this! I think you need to discuss this with your GP or the wonderful BHF nurses. They’re available on 0300 330 3311 Monday -Friday 9-5. They will listen to you, answer what questions they can and give suggestions as to the way forward.
I had this exact problem and wasn't nice I know, at first I thought heart as we all do but turned out was a b12 defincey making me feel like that I can finally eat without feeling sick after or during. Hope this helps x
Oh I have heard of this there's a possibility I might have this my doctor said my next blood test will show if I do. Aw I'm sorry I hope its not heart related. What condition do you have does nause fit any of your symptoms. Maybe call your gp or heart consultant and explain how you have been feeling. ❤️
Hmm, it sounds like you may have had a bit of an infection.
Late last September I had pneumonia and it took ages to materialise. My first symptom was awful chest pain at the start of September and thinking I was having a heart attack I dialled 999. Paramedics came and they took me to hospital and gave me morphine, had more morphine at hospital. Blood tests showed an infection, but they didn't know where it was. I was discharged with antibiotics and sent home.
I just continued to feel ill and after a week or so rang my doc who asked me to go and see her right away. She took a blood test and a few days later another Dr rang to change my antibiotics. A day after taking them I was getting into bed and suddenly I couldn't breathe properly, it was terrifying and again I dialled 999, the operator stayed on the phone to me until paramedics arrived at my home, which was within minutes. They took me straight to A&E, giving me oxygen on the way which stopped my dreadful gasping for air. I had a chest x-ray which showed fluid on one lung. Was given different meds again and sent home next day.
A few days later I felt so ill I went to see my Dr. She looked at all the test results the hospital had taken and went mad that I'd been sent home in such a state. She was straight on the phone to the hospital emergency unit and I was admitted straight away. To cut the story short I had pneumonia and also C (the word we cannot mention) I was admitted to the C ward. Throughout all this my heart had had been racing at a high rate constantly. After 4 days in hospital I was sent home and it took me several months to stop coughing and feel better.
So my message to you is be aware of what happened to me. I didn't want to eat either and lost a stone in weight.
Thanks for replying and sorry to hear you’ve have such a rough time. I hope you are feeling better now.
My chest pain isn’t really consistent with pneumonia. It was 10 -15 minutes of extreme pain in the chest and back and I was sick. Then it lifted. They also did an X-ray of my lungs and they said it was clear.
Hi Sherbet Since this is happening since a stomach upset could it been acid reflux you don't always feel acid coming all the way up but I have this and it makes you feel so ill I am on a prescribed tablet for this which helps . Eat little and often tather than a normal size meal just google GERD and see if your symptoms match lots of advice about which food to avoid but I have found its trial and error with me
The first time I had severe chest and back pains and no sickness. The second time I was only sick after having the chest and back pains for 15mins. I literally just threw up once then that was it.
