Been just over a week since the switch from 40mg Atorvastatin to 20mg Rosuvastatin. So far, so good
Tinnitus has improved
Leg aches subsiding
Weird vivid dreams continue 🙃
Still struggling with energy levels but the blood test I had Friday has highlighted reduced Vitamin D so Dr texted me today (impressed with that turnaround) and recommended a VitD supplement. Hopefully that will help.
Still waiting for MIND referral to come through but have now had letter from Cardiac Rehab booking a telephone appt with one of the nurses for next week (22nd). I'm assuming this is a follow-on/reset after my recent angiogram and "blip". Looking forward to getting back to that.

I can't tolerate Atorvastatin, I get swollen and painful legs. I've also had issues with Simvastatin.
I've been taking Rosuvastatin for two months since my heart surgery without any issues and my cholesterol levels are within acceptable levels. I hope this gives you some hope going forward.
Thanks, the good thing about the atorvastatin was it got my cholesterol levels down but i had awful aches and pains and felt weak. Early days but feeling better already so far.
Good to hear things are moving in the right direction. Once you've settled a bit on the new medication, it might be worthwhile getting a review of the dosages. I'm on 10mg Rosuvastatin daily which is keeping my cholesterol level stable, though things can change of course. I've never had any muscle ache issues with it like I did with three other statins.
With regards to energy, I find Vitamins B and D help even though I have a reasonable diet. Primarily I take Vit B for a high homocysteine level and Vit D to help my immune system, but they definitely give me a more general boost as well.
