I just used avanti last week wasn't too bad and covered my heart condition that's rare along with heart attack, af, 2 mech valves, asthma, and 2 strokes. Think it was £70 for 3 days. I haven't been on holiday since before all my issues so honestly don't know if this is good pricing or not but it was easy and quick and knew rare conditions.

I am using Total Travel Protection who have excellent and pragmatic terms and conditions and are price competitive. All the best Colin

Hi, there are two official directories listing companies that offer holiday insurance for people with health conditions. One can be found at moneyhelper.org.uk moneyhelper.org.uk/en/every... and the other at the British insurance brokers association biba.org.uk/find-insurance/... I used Staysure last time as the cost was reasonable - I have had a heart attack and angioplasty and my wife has other issues. I got pericarditis the week before we travelled and supported by a go letter they paid out in full to refund the foreign holiday we had booked.

Hi I have also used Staysure before but have never claimed. I would however recommend you get the GHIC card which I believe replaces the E111. I suffered a third heart attack whilst in Italy for my son’s wedding, the paramedics asked for my insurance and all I showed was the GHIC card and my passport. I did the same at the hospital. I was discharged 3 days later and that was it. I assume the NHS were recharged the cost under the reciprocal arrangements. I do feel more comfortable going to countries that accept the card for this reason.
