Zygoma biopsy today

Good afternoonJust returned from an interesting morning in Dermatology having a 4mm punchbiopsy of a presumed cyst but checking " nothing further nasty in the woodshed", 8 weeks wait for results and a pretty little neat stitch and hopefully not too much of a scar as its just below my eye on cheekbone

I have to say the 2 ladies who did the procedure were ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT

Big Up NHS

Yes. it is amazing how needlework in dermatolgy has changed over the years. My husband recently had some basal cell skin cancers removed from close to his nose.Three weeks on there is no scarat all.

Thats what was suspected for me but they said it looks and behaves more like a cyst which was infected Did your husband have further treatment or just the removal ?

Wish him and you both well

Hello :-)

This is another one ticked of your list and so glad it is done now and hopefully it will be ok

I am glad the ladies that did it were good and doubtful it will leave any lasting scar

Now you can concentrate on focusing on your op and that will soon be done :-)

Thank you for the update :-) x

Pleased the procedure went well for you. I had two punch biopsies last year on both legs thankfully all was well.

I had a skin cancer 8 years ago in my arm which was successfully removed and only had ten stitches it's a very neat scar.

Earlier this year I had a suspected freckle on my left cheek excised and seven very best stitches thankfully it was benign.

I have always found the doctors and nurses in the dermatology clinic really supportive and it's not a problem waiting 8 weeks for the results. I wouldn't have bothered my GP with this latest one on my face left cheek but a friend who knew my history insisted I go.
