I am due to have a wisdom tooth out in coming weeks. In a conversation with my dentist I am sure she said that NICE guidelines were not to stop apixiban before procedure. Any thoughts?

Run it past your gp or cardiologist or pharmacist... they'll be better placed to advise you about medications and when they can be stopped.

I was on the anti-coagulant Prasugrel when I had two wisdom teeth extracted. As my dentist was happy to do the procedure without me stopping the medication, I didn't bother consulting my GP or Cardiology. In the event there was very little bleeding.
