Done - 3 new pipes in and up walking - they don’t hang around, do they?

No real pain but plenty of soreness - now the real journey starts 😀

No....they don't mess about lol. It's amazing what the body can go through isn't it? Just do as they advise....keep up with the walking and exercise but make sure you get daily rest too. You sound pretty upbeat about it all so I am sure you will be positive about your recovery. You will have days forward and some where you maybe don't feel so good but this is normal and you might have times when you feel quite emotional about what you have been through....again...all normal. Staying positive and determined will aid your recovery too. Glad that part of it is all over now for you....the surgeons have done their job...now it's your turn!..... all the best and take care x

Congrats and all that. Do not run before you can walk as they say, take it all very easy remember you now have the rest of your life to to recover. It will be months before your anywhere near fit again, go for the rehab and you may find the mind/ mental problems will kick in don’t try and deal with it you self talk to other it helps massively. Good luck with you journey and as all the questions you want.

Well done, ur sounding darn good. 3 weeks more for me and I'll be in your shoes. Looking forward to my new pipes too. The nurse said there's 3 to do, but I may get a feebie and come out with a quad. Looking forward to more energy. Let us know how you get on, thinking of you.

Many 'heartfelt' Congratulations on a successful op, Kadu - that's the plumbing sorted as the surgeon who did mine said! He also said "we did the easy bit, the hard work's up to you now". Just do everything they tell you to do, keep active as and when you can, keep taking the meds - and have a snooze when you feel like it! It is a bit of a journey but, from experience, it's definitely worth the ride. Carol 👍🏻😊
