Hi guys update number 1000 lol, chest pains and hospital visit yesterday and now they have said they will transfer me to my surgery hospital straight away as an inpatient, no more waiting and I should have a new set of pipes in the next 48 hours. Scared to death tbh but also looking forward to getting better 😊

It’s normal to be a bit scared or anxious before any type of procedure or surgery. It sounds like the hospital know what they are doing so you are in good hands.

I hope you are able to get some rest before the surgery tomorrow.

Hello :-)

I suffer really bad with anxiety always did and still do before my triple Bypass so yes I know how you are feeling but in the end I just thought it has to be done and they know what they are doing and they really do to them this is just what they do everyday and you are young and it is straightforward it is very positive

Maybe why the Nurses are telling you to relax even though not easy but they deal with this everyday

The night before they gave me something to help calm me down I wonder if you find you can't relax if you ask a Nurse if they could give you anything ?

This time next week you could even be home and you will look back on this post and think goodness there I was worrying here I am recovering :-)

You will be posting soon and it will all be done and if I may can I say

I told you so :-)

You are in safe hands and they will work their magic :-)

Just listen to what the Nurses are getting up to I used to some of the conversations they would be having I think they would forget patients could hear :-D :-) x

Hi Stevie,

Its great to hear you are being sorted. I'm sure you will feel much better after the op, once the initial recocery is over. You will make progress bit by bit. Appreciate every achievement, no matter how small. Keep positive and look forward to having a normal life again.

I'm so glad you are getting your operation but know that the time immediately beforehand can be the most challenging. I well remember being scared stiff - that is totally normal. I had a sedative the night before and the morning of the op, just to help relax a bit. You will be in good hands and soon you will be able to start your recovery. Take it easy, a day at a time 🤗

Hey Stevie! My offer still stands - I’d be happy to have a chat on the phone today before your op if you’d like! Just message me :) xx

It’s totally normal to be nervous, I think it would be weird if you weren’t!! Xx

Good luck with the rebuild, I was definitely suffering from a mysterious need to run for the loo while I was waiting. For us it's huge a dark and mysterious adventure looming during the wait it seems like time both slows right down and speeds up.

But for the surgery team it's Tuesday, they do it all the time and before they are even allowed in the OR they are well trained, and then they are trained a lot more, before they are allowed to even touch you let alone hold something sharp. The teams are at the top of the game and you will come round and think what was I worried about.

Then you will cough and remember 😂, you are going to be fine on the day of my surgery the worst thing was nil by mouth after 7.30. Come 10.00 I would have committed murder for a coffee.

Good luck.

2 month post op. I feel 20 years younger!

The difference is incredible, and the who procedure and recovery is much less difficult than I expected.

Just listen to your body, rest and sleep when you are tired, and don't do any lifting.

You'll never look back once you're on the road to recovery!

All the best for your surgery !!

I’m not far behind you just had an a second angiogram and found that the old LAD has a long narrow section with the main branch off it diseased at the joint !

Tubes pulled out and now await the call for bypass or complex stenting decision !

Maybe not a bad thing you’ve gone back in and getting rushed through ! Sure all will be fine and I’ll be pestering you for advice once your out!!! 😂

Hi everyone thank you for all the advice and support. More news. Because of my symptoms the hospital did a head ct scan. They have found mutliple cystic lesions in the thalmatic region of the brain that need further investigation. Sent home because they need to investigate further as it could affect the operation 😪 This would at least explain the dizziness and near passing out and doc is confident that my heart will hold out whilst waiting for further investigations to be carried out. There very blase at the hospital, next step is full mri with contrast to see the extent of the lesions and the next steps moving forward, told it could be 4 to 6 weeks to get the scan through. Oh the joys

Hello :-)

Just seen this and sorry there is a little set back but at least they have spotted this and can investigate it and you will soon be back in that bed waiting for your op

Keep us updated :-) x
