As a lifelong Type I diabetic I never had any joy getting critical illness cover . In the mid-nineties I was quoted £3000 p.a.
Did you have any luck with the Life Insurance company I recommended to you earlier this year?
Staysure seem to have a good feedback on here.I've just signed up with them for a single European trip...less than £100, and will be travelling within 6 months of my surgery.
There is an option to exclude pre existing conditions which may save... and get the free GHIC card from the NHS, to cover them...
Happy travels
I had a single bypass and at 66 was quoted £500-£1400 for world wide annual travel. I moved my bank account to Nationwide flexplus account and now it is £13 per month plus £165 annual loading for bypass surgery and car breakdown included. You can check annual loading before commitment by making a telephone call on it's website.
I would think you'll find it nigh on impossible to get Critical Illness Insurance without ridiculously high premiums.
Been there many years ago, and unfortunately the insurance companies tend to take the view that you would be a significant risk having a PM, and more so why you have one in the first place.
If you're looking for critical illness cover I assume you are working. I found it too expensive so had a separate savings account which I put money in each month until enough to cover about 6-9 months outgoings. Now I'm retired I still have the money in there to cover what would be life assurance. I obviously don't know your family situation but maybe it's worth thinking about?
I am sorry I can not recommend anywhere and you normally find existing conditions are not covered. I have a historic policy but it will now not pay out for my heart as I made a claim last year. My claim was initially rejected due to having heart surgery as a baby even though my surgeon confirmed I had never had open heart surgery! A letter in my GP file found from 1973 helped me but it was a battle
