Hi thank you for excepting me in the group.I don't know if anyone can help or have managed to get life insurance after having a heart attack. My husband had a heart attack and had 3 stents fitted and was also diagnosed with type 2 diabetes at the same time, this was two years ago,he had life insurance with critical illness so when this happened we claimed off the critical illness policy and then nog realizing the policy ends.We tried to get insurance with our bank and they couldn't do it so gave us a name to go online and this company finds an insurer who maybe able to help and them they phone you.My husband had a phonecall today off an allocated insurance company and basically they said he probably won't find anyone that will insure him until after 5 years. This is quite worrying that he can't get insured. Can anyone help or advise please

Thank you so much I will have a look now

There was an almost identical post on this two days ago. My advice was to carry out a websearch for 'life insurance with pre-existing health conditions' and you may find there is a comparison site which caters for this and you can then take it from there.

Hello and welcome to the forum!

I have recommended these people a number of times but never had any feedback. Feedback would be much appreciated.

I fortunately have not had a heart attack, but have had two stents fitted, which was just over 18 months ago. I am currently in the process of leaving my current employer, due to the stress, who as part of the package provided life insurance, so I am having to find someone to cover me.

After trying a number of different companies/brokers, I was put in touch with lifesearch (lifesearch.com), up to this point they have been really good for me. They have found an underwriter (I had heard of them, they are big) that is willing to insure me with my CAD, the only thing delaying that at the moment is that the underwriter picked up I am due an colonoscopy, so I am just waiting for that to be scheduled and undertaken before they will provide the cover.
