Tiredness

Good morning to you all. As some of you are aware I had a heart attack over four years ago. My question is does this tiredness ever go away? I work 3 days a week doing 8 1/2 hour each shift. These hours I can manage but whenever I do an extra day or two I am totally wiped out and takes me a few days to get over it. Hope you all have a good day x

I think this whole business of tiredness is very personal and complex and may be unrelated to your past heart attack or your present work regime. I am elderly and seem to manage tiredness well even without much sleep. Friends with fewer health issues seem tired a lot of the time and are often many years younger. Two friends of 90 are sprightly and bushy tailed but both have some health issues. It is a very difficult one to fatham .Probably not what you want to hear but it may help you to manage it. Clearly your job reaches your maximum energy levels so you may have to try and keep it within your limits in order to have time to recover and enjoy the rest of your life.

10Gingercats that’s exactly what I needed to hear. I’m always told by my partner, family and friends ( with best intentions) that I need to stop doing so much . Iv always been a busy person and when I slow down that’s when the tiredness kicks in. I’m not the best off sleepers which doesn’t help when I have a 81/2 shift constantly on my feet. I really appreciate your comment and thank you.. x

Also with doing extra days I am unable to get my walking exercises in. So yesterday I went for my walk and I actually struggled and that has made me feel like rubbish.. x

Hi Lynn1966, I haven’t seen you on here for ages but I remember how kind you were to me in 2019 when I had my heart attack. I still feel tired and have to pace myself, don’t think there are any answers. I have had further heart problems from that we cannot mention, I rarely post on here now because I don’t like the restrictions. But it’s lovely to hear from you and hope you can find some energy, talk to your Cardiologist, perhaps he can tweak your meds to help. Big Hugs🫂

Hello VelvetSky , it’s so lovely to hear from you 😘.. Aw I’m sorry to hear that you have had further heart problems.. I agree with you about the restrictions. I also see a lot of unpleasant replies to people, which wasn’t warranted 🙁. Overall I’m doing very well it’s just the tiredness which I’m sure is due to work and the heat as it’s a very busy place I work in.. sending you lots of hugs 🤗 and take good care of yourself my lovely 🥰 xx
