I'm on 5mg of Lercanidipine, and normally readings are in the 130/80 area.
This morning was a stressful one. I took my blood pressure reading and got 201/102. The next few readings were slightly lower but still high.
I got a walk-in appointment with my GP. The reading they took was 155/94. They put it down to a stressful situation and told me to go home and put my feet up, which luckily I was able to do.
Since then I've been too nervous to take a reading. If it's high, I'll spiral into anxiety.
I have to admit that the weekend involved a wedding and *far* too much alcohol was drunk. 🍷
Could this have had an impact on the reading?
Thanks in advance for any insights.

I was recently told to take a week of readings for my GP as itwas very slowly creeping up into the 130s but after a very bad bout of arrhythmia last weekend and 4 days in hospital I too am too anxious to do my BP. No matter how long I relax I still get worried. I got 2 readings of 120/71 which should have reassured me but didn't.. My GP's going to have to wait until I can get true readings.
