Long awaited/ Neglected review

Hello,,

My name is Cat, I had a heart attack in 2018. I was put on the Gold standard medications, after having two stents fitted to my LAD. I had my cardiac rehabilitation and later reviewed . I was given the all clear.

I started working full time again and then covid hit. Everything was okay until I got covid, but I recovered really well. I didn’t know at the time that I started snoring , loudly and every night. My husband is a gentleman, so he didn’t tell me the extent of which my snoring kept him awake.

The snoring got worse and I started to become very tired easily, to the point I would have lunch at work, but could easily fall asleep within five minutes of sitting down. I was on statins, I was getting leg cramps and a headache that woke me at night.

This went on for months, I was very tired and restless. I was sleeping very little at night due to these headaches, and waking up early for work. I got to work one morning and had chest pains, I went to A and E. They did a blood work up, told me no heart attack was seen and sent me back to work. The truth is, I was never asked how I was feeling and I didn’t say, so I went back to work.

It was proving difficult, I was in agony, every time I stepped my chest was crushing me with pain, I was embarrassed to say I still felt unwell when I was told I was okay. I finished my work and went home. The next day I was off work, so stayed in bed resting. Something still felt off but it was a bit better keeping still.

The day went by, no events, so I thought I am on the mend. The next day I went to work, still felt awful but continued to do my duty and completed the day, that night my chest started squeezing me , whilst I was asleep, I woke up shocked and called an ambulance.

They took me to the same A and E I had been a few days earlier, blood was worked up again, still no signs of H.A, so I was told to go home as there were no beds available. I would have tests Echo, and an angiogram and be seen with results and a management plan.

I am still waiting for those results and an official review.. I have tried several times to contact the cardiac secretary to see where I am on the review list at my local hospital . I had been given me an appointment but it was cancelled because she told me today that the specialist nurse decided , I was not urgent enough to be seen and other cases were urgent and I was a routine case.

They had no regard for the fact that I work for them and is still under contract. The secretary was very dismissive of the situation. I didn’t ask about urgent, I just needed to know, what they found, as it is about me. The specialist nurse, cancelled my appointment and went on annual leave. I have been and still is waiting a review. They have made me feel I need to beg to be seen for info which is mine I think they are forgetting the nature of the business of the NHS are the patients.

I do not trust any of them now. They have treated me like less than a human being. If anything happens to me health wise please know I have shared it here first.
