Hello, i am 38 year old female. Had a thyroid tumor removed and partial thyroidectomy in July 2017. Then in December 2017 I woke up with terrible crushing pains in my chest. Got up, cried, went to work. Still felt unwell so went to GP then hospital. My troponin level was 800 plus and I spent a week in the heart care unit. They spotted some abnormalities on ECG. Had echo, MRI and angiogram, all clear. Was told all ok and probably myopericarditus. On a follow up appt I asked about abnormal ECG they said could be electrical currents. Had loop recorder fitted February 2018. All has been ok with that. Had a baby in December 2018. On 75mg of levothyroxine and now have pernicious anemia. The problem is I have been having very bad “episodes” for approx 2 months and getting worse. These consist of usually Dizziness, a bit of breathlessness, chest pain, tingling in left arm and missed beats, palpitations and pounding heart. There is no pattern to them, they happen when I’m playing with my baby, having lunch, in a meeting at work or fast asleep in bed at night. I have been referred back to cardiology butte long wait. It’s really affecting my life now. My husband called me an ambulance over Xmas, went to hospital and bloods were ok. What could it be and how can I stop it!! Thank you, Danielle x

Hello Dannim81
You sound as if you have certainly been put through it. None of us here have medical training so it can be hard to help properly. The reason why I am posting this is because you have mentioned anaemia.
My wife was in a similar position just before Xmas and presented with all the classic symptoms of a Heart Attack. Turns out she was severely anaemic and the symptoms show as that of a heart attack - the doctors referred to it as a Type 2 heart attack. Fortunately after blood transfusions and an iron infusion they got her sorted. I'm not saying this could be the same as yourself but could be worth a thought.

Hi, are you getting vitamin b12 injections for your Pernicious Anaemia? Vitamin b12 deficiency is a direct result of Pernicious Anaemia and can cause wide ranging symptoms. There is an excellent Pernicious Anaemia forum here on Heath Unlocked and also a thyroid forum. It would be worth joining both of those as you will get good support on there.
I wish you all the best.
