good morning 😊

I came home yesterday after a mitral valve repair on Monday. I’ve only just read through all my discharge letters, as I was not ready to plough through it all yesterday. They explained to me I had to take aspirin every day now for the rest of my life, in the letter they say it’s for “ tissue valve replacement “ but I had a repair?

anyone had this?

Hello :-)

They may have just misworded it so for now I would take your Aspirin and query the wording in the discharge letter with your Doctor when you can get to speak to them :-)

I hope otherwise you are feeling as well as can be :-) x

thank you for the reply 😊 yes I think that’s a sensible idea. My brain is still very “ befuddled “! 😬

I’m feeling extremely tired, but otherwise ok 😊

Hello :-)

I think it is normal to feel befuddled as you say as well as tired but otherwise I am glad you are feeling ok :-) x

I had mitral valve repair and was initially on warfarin which would have been for three months. However, before discharge my surgeon put me on a trial which meant taking aspirin for 3 months instead.

I am supposed to be seeing the doctors sometime this week, so they may be able to shine a light on it 😊 I am also on Biosoprin ( think that’s right) anyway it regulates the rhythm of the heart ❤️‍🩹

Still in considerable pain, on the right hand side, when I breathe in. Trying to do the deep breathing exercises the physios recommended, but it’s too painful 😖
