How long have you found for side effects of medications to show up? I am 4 weeks post HA and stent. So far have seen the positives in terms of reduced BP and HR. Have not really noticed anything adverse until the last couple of days. Now quite a lot of aches and pains, soft stools, tired. And how do you know whether achy arms/shoulders are something to worry about ( is pain different from aches?) , or a side effect of medication, or just stiff from lack of use with all the lying about, or just too much holding the phone and scrolling?! Hoping for some crowd wisdom!

We are all different and respond differently to medication, so I suggest you talk to your GP, or the BHF Heart Helpline nurse, or if you are fortunate to be on a Cardio Rehab course, one of the staff there.
Dear You,
Very interesting question and post thank you.
Unfortunately as already stated we are all individuals and respond to medication in such different ways.
Some can be effected within hours while others its a cumulative effect before any signs show. { if ever }
It is best to talk to your Dr as most medication can be changed for another that may not have the side effects { if that's what it is } for you.
One thing to remember is all you have gone through, not just the procedures but the HA its diagnosis, tests and all the built up worry you and your loved ones had to deal with.
Its only been 4 weeks and as you relax into the new you all sorts of emotions and feeling are released that can easily manifest themselves as physical problems.
You are doing so well, get this hiccup sorted and get on with your new life you more than deserve it.
Take care
It's different for everyone. I ended up having every single tablet changed after my HA. The first problem was after 3 or 4 weeks but it went on for a full year before I was settled on tablets that suited me. My GP usually says give it a month to see if it settles down
Hello
I have found I can be on a med a while and then all of a sudden it starts giving me side effects
Usually I find if a few weeks pass and I am still feeling no better I talk to my Doctor or if the side effects are so bad I get on to them quicker
You could talk with your pharmacist they can be very knowledgeable about medications what to expect and will even advice if they think you need to be talking to your Doctor to
Let us know how you get on x
I’ve found personally for me, side effects are usually instant or show up very soon into taking them. I’m sensitive to cardiac medication in general, so I always expect beforehand that I will have a reaction. However, in saying that, I have built tolerance as time passes to a few side effects.
You’ve also not stated what medications you are on however, your GP would be the best person to review this with. They will be able to make adjustments and changes that suit you accordingly.
Hope you feel better soon.
All the best.

Best to tell your doctor in case you have an infection
The blood pressure tablets are proving a big problem for me as I seem to have reactions to the three I have been prescribed so far.
