It’s now a year since my HA and 2 stents and at last I’ve started to come off some of the swag of drugs. I’ve been recovering well since the event except for the past year I have been experiencing side effects from the drugs, mainly a tightness in the chest and upper stomach aches. I’ve now dropped the Clopidogrel and the PPI and just take 10mg Statin, Aspirin and Ramipril, but I’m still getting the same symptoms. I did drop the aspirin early on, but the symptoms continued so I went back on it. Probably unlikely it is the statin since I was on the same dosage for years before my HA with no problems. So maybe the Ramipril??
I’d be interested in other hearties experience and whether they managed to identify the culprit!
Thanks

The only drug i have sorted is clopidogrel. . I did a five week trial and concluded its not clopidogrel.Part of the problem is the time it takes for the drugs to titrate.
My situation same as yours. I'm still on a cocktail of meds. but I was taken off Ramipril by my Cardiologist, as apparently Ramipril is not always a "good bed-fellow" with some other heart medications. So maybe check this out with your Cardiologist, as some GP's are not overly aware of this.
