Firstly and most importantly I'm okay but last night I had to call 999 I had bad chest pains, now I've been getting a bit of pain and discomfort since I've been home; but it's usually only lasts a few minutes the longest was 6 and a half minutes, I hadn't mentioned it to anyone because I didn't think it was to serious well last night it lasted for 28 minutes so I called 999, paramedics and first responder both came quickly and done an ECG and that was normal so it was off to hospital for blood tests and another ECG, all the tests come back normal. I've been home a few hours now and I'm fine.
I was hoping to go back home this week but Mum said I can't and I'm too tired to argue with her. A&E on a bank holiday isn't the best place to be.
Secondly I'm feeling a bit better mentally but I'm still going to have a break from here just for a bit longer.

ahh no, I’m sorry that you ended up in A&E but relieved that you are ok. I know that you want to be home but staying with your mum is probably for the best until you are fully recovered. Let us know how you are getting on and take it easy. Xx
Take care V. Hope you are resting and eating well. It is very difficult after the experience you had. I was having strange palpitations and pain in my chest and I was worried, this was last summer. I ended up seeing a doctor, I was on hols at the time. I was thoroughly checked out and all was fine. The doctor informed me that both panic attacks and indigestion can mimic cardiac issues, I was very relieved and very pleased to get it all checked out. Hope you sleep well🤗🥰
Hello
Thank you for letting us know and I am glad you are ok
I’m glad all the tests were ok, but I agree with your mum, she does know best, and she will say when she feels you’re ready to go home on your own. If you go home now she would only worry about you.
Hi there, ongoing chest pain is no good and great you got it all checked out properly. Do you have a GTN spray to use? You didn't mention it, but maybe something to ask drs about if chest pains are ongoing, they'll know if you need it for angina chest pain or not and whether to give it a try.
I'm actually on a daily patch of GTN, which helps prevent angina (chest pain) and have the spray to use if I need to. I tried stopping the patch a few weeks ago but kept getting random funny feelings in chest, like being poked or pushing a finger on a bruise. I wouldn't call it pain, but it was unpleaseant and made me nervous. I think angina can feel different to different people. So I'm back on the patch and those 'poky' chest feelings have stopped.
Gosh, sounds like a frightening experience! Do they know what caused the episodes?
Well done for listening to your mum - I know there’s a very real struggle between accepting care and wanting independence but she loves you and wants to protect you or feel like she’s keeping you safe; letting her is a good shout 🙂
So pleased to hear you’re feeling like you’re in a better place mentally, I think you’re coping amazingly from what you’ve shared! Be proud of yourself and also, be kind to yourself!
Whenever you’re ready, we’ll be here to welcome you back 🥰
You won't believe it, but you are moving forward, all be it slowly, you are now very in-tune with your body and are responding to its needs in the right manner { something that a few months ago was all over the place }
So glad that the results were positive and also that you feel that there is a corner turned on your mental health position.
No one can deny your need for time out and your own space, just don't let that mind wander to much during it.
Oh dear V. Hope everything settles now for you and no more pain. Might it have been indigestion from something you had to eat. Take care and have a break from the group it might help. Brian
Glad you are OK. It is a worry chest pains you never know if it is the heart or just anxiety, causing muscle to react. You take all the time you want, I will still be here waffling on. As we have found it is the mental side that is the biggest hurdle.
