Hi everyone hope your all well it's actually quite nice weather today πŸ˜…. I was talking at length yesterday with bekind about seeing about anxiety at doctors surgery and sure enough I do so I got a prescription for mirtazapine 15mg so hopefully won't be feeling like this after a few months. I did get a call back from my specialist hospital and they said its not heart related it's more likely to be my asthma πŸ™„πŸ€”. So I'm thinking can't be that either as its well controlled, well for me anyway lol so only thing it leaves is anxiety so yay fun πŸ™„ why does it mimic heart symptoms so not fun when you have both heart disease and anxiety! I don't really have a point just fed up to be honest πŸ’”

I think (but I'm not 100% certain) it's only 15 and 30mg BUT at one point I was taking 45mg (a 30 and 15 tablet) I don't know if they go higher than that

Hi,I'm taking 7.5 of mirtazapine for sleep and anxiety. I tried 15mg but the nightmares and hallucinations were so vivid. I'm still having bad dreams on 7.5 , screaming out in the night and waking everyone. Also I've put weight in with them. Both are side-effects. But my anxiety is less so its a double edged sword.

Good luck xxxx

Aw thanks for letting me know about the side effects. My brother was on that he told me about the weight gain, more worried about that then the bad dreams and hallucinations, my dreams pretty strange at the moment anyway with out being on it. Thanks I hope i get on ok with this x ❀️

Hi Yumz199725, I do hope you start to feel much better soon. I was on it for a while, and it certainly helped me. Take care, Judi

Aw thank you I hope so too x

Yes it's horrible. The trouble I find is that anxiety mimics the symptoms that your mind knows about. Can it be the heart. We don't know but the mind plays tricks and causes muscle to contact and you end up in the cycle that goes round and round. Iam going to reduce my anxiety tablets, as they don't seem to make alot of difference and iam going to concentrate on my heart medication. The trouble I find is I have a telephone appointment with the cardiologist, out of the blue. So of my mind goes panick stations so for three days iam festering. So I managed to contact the cardiac nurses for some re assurance. They say nothing to worry about just to discuss the echo I had in February? Possibly to talk through the visit I had to the clinic in February. But it's that not knowing. But it is awful all this. Any way you take care.
