Arm pains and Tingling
Hello
I have not had this but from what you are saying if it is happening every day you need to speak with your Doctor
Let us know how you get on x
Yes I do get this mainly at night on both arms down to my hands sometimes so bad cannot feel anything I touch like when a dentist numbs your mouth. I have been thinking of ringing doctors last few weeks about it. I have thyroid problems and on few heart medications was thinking maybe one of those could be the cause.
Hi Beta70
I sometimes wake up with pins and needles going down my arms but not every day and numbness in my hands. When I move about it goes back to normal and I wasn’t lying on them either. The only time my arm went bright red and I felt pressure pain was when I was in hospital and they did my blood pressure. I mentioned once to them that my arm was hurting and it’s gone red and she just said your arm looks mockled and I didn’t hear anything else about it from them. Let me know if you discover what is causing it and I will ask at my next appointment in June.

I think you should definitely pay a visit to your doctor. I have experienced this tingling and numbness I describe it as a painful numbness. I get it at night and it can take an hour and half for my hands to wake up in the morning. I also experience it if I’m cold , reading a book or using my phone and tablet. I here been to the doctors and was referred to the hospital, after tests have been told I have carpel tunnel syndrome with some neuropathy. I need an operation under local anaesthetic but with my heart issues ( recent bypass surgery) I have got to wait a little while
I just asked my heart nurse about this as I get it in my hands at night and she said it was a known side effect of Atorvastatin, and basically suck it up as the statin is doing me a lot of good!
Yes i had this weeks leading up to a major heart attack and severe heart failure.
So sorry , hope that you are recovering now. None of us know what the future holds.
