If you get pains at night as well, and perhaps if you drive some distance, then it could be the onset of carpal tunnel syndrome. Your GP can run simple tests to check. If it is carpal tunnel then is is degenerative, and although a steroid injection can provide relief for a few weeks, or if you are lucky a few months, the solution is carpal tunnel release, which is a minor surgery procedure and takes about 20 -30 minutes per wrist. Sometimes wrist splints at night help.
I've been on minimum dosage 2.5mg for about a year. It brought my average systolic down by average of about 15mmHg to about 150, so probably will have to increase.. No obvious side-effects, apart from (maybe) cold feet.
Thanks for both replies. I get the cold feet and ankles still but i just bought some thicker socks and better slippers.
This isnt brought on through using my hands a lot during the day so isnt down to tendons. It feels like my veins or arteries on the back of my hands and are front of my wrists just get spasmodic randomised jabbing pains. Ive fot an appointment with the cardiologist coming up so ill ask them. But thanks again for replying both.
Just cold hands and feet for some odd reason.
I also had that . Not so much now though.
I had a stent fitted last Feb and got pains in my hands and waist/lower back. Now feel ozzy and there is a pain in my heart as if something is loose in there. Been back and fourth to my GP and now requested a referral to Heart and Chest. Just come off presugrel this week so hoping that makes a difference.
