My gp gave me a form to say she thought I had less than six months to live . I got the form it looks very daunting but I didn't have to fill most of it in . I sent it off and it was fast tracked because of doctors letter and I received the money within a fortnight backdated to date I applied . It might be worth asking your gp

Yes AA is fast tracked in the case of terminal illness. The pity is that claiming AA and similar allowances has become so involved because of fraudsters. Thank you for your bravery in making people aware of this. Best wishes, MichaelJH
Sorry to hear that 17Nevil but thanks for taking the time to think of others xx

Sorry to hear this. But you are a star thinking of others who maybe in a similar position whether for themselves or a family member. Xxx
How are you doing Nevil ? I hope you have some support around you.

Hi
Thanks
I live in a place where we have an alarm and I have a home monitor for my crt-d
My daughters are scattered all over the country but they keep in touch
One thing about this site is it make us realise that there are always people healthier and sicker than us. The problem is sometimes people think that there own issues are far more important and are blind to another’s diagnosis.
I was with my mother when she was given the news that she had six months to live and she was offered the allowance which she accepted gratefully.
If they had not discovered the tumour in my own heart just a few months after she passed I probably wouldn’t have been here much longer and I’m very grateful for any extra time I’m given. They did say that I have now got heart failure, what stage I don’t know but I intend to live each day as it comes .
This site is brilliant because there is always someone around to chat to.
Elaine ❤️
Thank you for highlighting this issue and thinking of others. What a thoughtful, selfless and brave person you are. Just letting you know you’re being thought of. Big virtual hugs. Zena xx
