Hi guys hope you all had a good weekend hopefully not too stressful.
So had my first day took it slow like all you guys and my consultant suggested I did 10 minutes on the treadmill, and 10 minutes on the exercise bike. Feel great!
Came back been home about 20 minutes did my ecg on my app and to my surprise it picked up and irregular rhythm lol I definitely wasn't over doing it on treadmill my heart rate was 120 that's all which is normal for exercise. I'm just wondering how long it takes for your heart rhythm to go back to normal after exercise because my heart was fine was 84.
I have saved this particular test result and will show my consultant when I he see them next year.
Or should I email them before then?? Its only been one day aswell 😆.

Just reaslised it's very blurry pic. What it says is signs of Afib.
It's good you have started. 👍
And as with all new things like this its best to slowly ease into it. So as far as your heart 'abnormality' is concerned I suggest you give it a few sessions to allow your body to acclimatise before you start thinking it's significant and whether to contact people especially since you seem to feel positive about yourself and your new experience. Keep it up!
Thanks I was thinking the same thing other wise my consultant is gona think I'm crazy lol.
I would just go a few more times to gym and see if the afib continues. When you have a stress test on a bike at hospital then that's when they look out for things like that because thay want to push your heart to maximum which is 220 minus your age. However as you are early back to exercise just take it easy and continue with what you have been told. Try not to worry too much. But if you are concerned phone up the consultant or if you are under the congenital team talk to the nurses. Like I said to my nurse last week, she said if you have any issues contact us, I said jokingly, don't you worry I have you on speed dial.
Yeah I was thinking same thing but it was my consultants idea to get an app like that so I got fibricheck and it seems pretty accurate so like everyone has said I will give it a few weeks and if it still happening will definitely contact my consultant.
I had an irregular for sometime after, but realised I was de hydrated. Drink plenty of fluids, especially now you're exercising again. Never enough in my eyes!
I’m really proud of you for getting to the gym! Sometimes that first step is the hardest. I would love to be able to go to the gym again—maybe one day.
I tried a Sit and Exercise program on PBS yesterday for the first time. I swear that that 25 minutes almost kicked my butt. Lol! I realized that I need to “work up” to “working out” at a gym.
I know that I have anxiety disorder so I definitely worry, dread and obsess on things too much, but I would share the results of your ECG with your consultant via email along with a note. It might help to see/hear that person say that you don’t need to worry.
Aw thanks for your lovely reply! 😊☺️Well done for trying some exercise aswell! 😅☺️. I was thinking of doing that but I have a feeling he wont be concerned so I'm giving it a month and if it still happens all the time after that I will call my specialist helpline number and leave an email.
