Blood pressure Issues

After having serious dizzy spells for three weeks I finally managed to get a face to face GP appointment. I had already self diagnosed the possibility that it was due to low blood pressure, as my blood pressure had dropped from my usual 130/80 to 111/60 or slightly higher. I had used my fake fitbit watch for the readings but they had always been correct before so I was confident the readings were approximately correct. When my GP took my blood pressure it was really high about 149/90. I was really surprised and disbelieving so she took it again suggesting perhaps I was stressed attending the appointment. Also I had climbed a lot of steps to get there. However, she suggested I rest and sit down for a while and took it again. Surprisingly it was really very low, similar figures to what I had recorded at home. My GP explained that the motion from sitting to standing caused my blood pressure to rise excessively which was why I was getting dizzy getting out of bed and chairs. She has checked my ears and discovered residue of a recent ear infection, which she suggested could have caused it. She prescribed me an ear spray and some cyclizine tablets which I have read they also use for morning sickness in pregnancy. Also told me to drink plenty of water which I do anyway. I have to return in a couple of weeks for blood tests as she said my white blood count would currently be low due to fighting off the ear infection. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this blood pressure condition, or used cyclizine tablets.

Hi Beta 70.....and interesting post. Do you have something called POTS syndrome is quite rare?

Possibly, GP said it could possibly be Postural Tacycardia Syndrome.
