Hi, I have recently had a pacemaker fitted and need to renew travel insurance. Can anyone recommend good insurance companies for multi trip cover?

Try Avanti I have a mechanical aortic valve a repaired aorta, heart failure and a CRT-D implant. And they were the best out of all of them.

Hi, I would agree with Hanibil I'm actually insured via my bank account, but Avanti are the underwriters on their behalf. My disclosure covers an array of heart related matters, including having a pacemaker. Heart Failure, Arrthymia, multiple surgeries, Anaemia. It's not so much that you have a PM, but, what the condition is that necessitates you having a PM that is of interest.

If you try one of the comparison sites, the questions asked are a standard template used across the industry for existing medical conditions. Worth trying, before you speak to anyone, and you can be clear on any answers.

We use Staysure, my partner has a metal aortic valve and an icd pacemaker. You only know the true worth of an insurance company if you have to make a claim.....

Try a comparison site such as medicaltravelcompared.co.uk - but make sure your selected policy matches your needs (of course).

PrudenceThere is a site called Medical Travel Compared which I checked out. Avanti offered me cover for a year worldwide for around £430. In the end I had to get a one off trip with Puffin which cost me three times the cost of my wife and two adult children's policy as I don't know how much traveling I will be doing in the next year.
