Hello and welcome to the community.

There are some insurers that specialise in travel insurance with medical conditions. I use staysure which others on the board have also used. I pay about £400 for worldwide annual insurance for me and my wife (who has no issues) which includes caribbean and USA. Cruise insurance costs more by the way.

I'm sure other recommendations will be made; the main thing is to declare absolutely everything no matter how minor otherwise you may find you are not covered in the event of problems.

I am lucky as I still pay into a work group scheme even after retiring but some of these quotes are very reassuring as there are some good prices.

I’m another with Staysure. They insured me prior to my stroke and when I had to cancel a fairly expensive holiday (due to the stroke) they paid the claim with no quibbles. We’re having three holidays this year and I tried using an insurance broker who was recommended to me. His quote for an annual policy for two people, both with medical conditions, was £881 and that excluded the US and a few other places. I went back to Staysure and their quote was £479. Given I have had a positive experience with them I bought that one.

I have used Staysure for a long time and even after a cardiac arrest, ICD fitted and triple bypass and AVR premium for one year for my wife and myself under £400

You're very lucky. I've insured with them only recently for two European trips - I had a pacemaker inserted just before last Christmas and we've paid £902 for an annual multi trip policy with Staysure. I've used All Clear before and they paid up all the money when we had to return from Australia in March 2020.

Like others I went to Staysure as I'm going to the US in May. I wanted to be sure that if I have a medical problem whilst there the insurer would pay up and Staysure has such a reputation.

FYI, I paid £1,022 for a worldwide annual multi trip policy covering 2 persons , one (me) having an Angioplasty (one stent) last October and my wife who has hypertension. We are 75 and 73.

When the policy expires I do expect to pay less for new one as there will be (hopefully) a longer track record of no further heart issues.

I’ve used both Staysure and All Clear. Both good for Europe. When we went to St Lucia large increase - presuming any major issues I would be flown home.

If you are traveling through a travel agency, then you don't have to worry about your life insurance, since all questions about this are dealt by the travel agency. However, if you are traveling alone, you should take care of this yourself too. I would advise you lifeinsuranceblog.net/5-mil... as this insurance covers accidents and everything that happens to you, regardless of where you are and who is traveling with you. I used to use such insurance myself before I switched to a more expensive one. This insurance is great for tourists who travel without the help of travel agencies and other insurance companies for tourists. I wish you success in your further tourist trips, be healthy!

There are many types of travel insurance. Some travel insurance covers only a certain direction - for example, they work for traveling in Europe. My husband and I bought this type of insurance when we flew to Croatia; open this link to learn more about this country.
