hi all
My blood test came in at 180 so 80 above the normal
Obviously this is a concern I am a little breathless and on beta blockers for AF 15mg ( I know it’s high )
Has anyone improved BNP or is it down hill and the start of greater issues

Sorry, I hadn’t heard of a BNP blood test before so I looked it up online. I wonder if this might help you:
I feel that you should be asking your GP about this - there is a variety of causes for raised BNP (B natriuretic peptide) levels, not all are heart-related.
I know it's hard to get access to a GP these days, so you could also try the British Heart Foundation or Cardiomyopathy UK helplines during office hours. Both are staffed by specialist nurses.
to be honest I had a bad experience with the heart foundation help line I was told all soon amd gloom amd what ifs when they explained my ecg . They left me thinking I was in my last . The GP constantly chases where my heart monitor results are plus what the plan is for me , I call the cardio department weekly and tne cardio nurse yet to get a callback after 7 weeks
