Hello

Why not ask the person who requested the BNP test the answer to your question. sorry I don't believe anyone can give you a diagnosis on the basis of one result !!!

Regards

Your BNP can be raised for all sorts of reasons not just HF, no-one here can advise. As Prada has said you need to speak to whoever ordered the test and ask what the next plan of action is

An echo is the usual pattern of follow up, a BNP of 400 is usually the trigger for further investigations. Whilst 1000 seems really high its not as bad as it sounds. My husband's BNP went from 600's to just under a 1000 & none of his medical team were concerned as in reality that's not much of an increase. If you can, try to bear in mind that if there was any real concern you'd be having an urgent echo, just recently there was a worry my husband had a clot on his heart & an echo was arranged within a week. Good luck with the echo.

Hi, Im so sorry to hear you are having all these problems.I am just coming yo the end of a susected gall stones flare up - started Tuesday - 3 days in bed in agony 2 on sofa! I have appt for blood test monday & GP has requested a scan. Have you had more than 1 flare up and confirmed diagnosis? 2 close friends have had their gall bladders removed and never looked back! Im just hoping I don't have them and it was a one off weird bug as its sooooo painful.

I hope your meds & treatment gets sorted soon and that things ease for you. GP did say I could take BUSCOPAN to help with the cramps and it has eased them a little.
