I have been working in garden and reacted to a plant. Usually I would take antihistamines but now on Bisoprolol 2.5 not sure if safe to mix.Chemist is shut so can't ask pharmacist. Thanks

Hello :-)

My Doctor prescribed them me and I am on Bisoprolol

If you have a Boots they are usually open on a Sunday maybe shut early or even a Tesco that has a pharmacy they are open on a Sunday you could try giving them a ring

I would ask before you take them as we are all different and I suppose it depends on our condition and other meds we take :-) x

Thanks that's good to know but as you say we are all different but I doubt if they would have given them to you if a really bad mix. I don't have a Boots or Tesco pharmacy near me but I guess I can still ring one. I will Google. Thanks again

Hello :-)

It was safe for me to be on them with my other meds the Doctor checked before she gave them me :-)

I never go in the Chemist always phone them , just find the nearest Google will tell you and make sure you have what meds you are on to tell them what you already take and the pharmacist should be able to tell you :-)

Let us know how you get on :-) x

I take them when I need them. Some drugs are a definite no no but most only stop the other from working correctly and that normally if taken regularly.

Thanks I have tried ringing 6 pharmacies who are meant to be open on Sundays but none are answering. If my skin and eyes get worse I will take some. I have been pottering in the garden and reacted to something I think ferns. An antihistamine should calm it down. Going to have another shower first and if still needed will take one. Thank again for replying it's reassuring others take it x

Hi obviously you need to check with a pharmacist/GP but I've been on bisoprolol, among other heart meds, for 3 years and take antihistamines every summer for hayfever. My GP, cardiac nurse and cardiologist have all said that's fine.

Hi thank you that's good to know x

It's a bit late in the day to suggest this but have you tried the NHS 111 service? That's what it's there for.

I take anti histamine and a whole cocktail of heart drugs including Bisoprolol and Warfarine. I checked with my local pharmacy who suggested Piritese.

Thank you, it's so good to get this help here 😊

I take Piriteze, I did call my pharmacist and he said that it was fine, never had any problems except that I can sleep for 10 hours with them, no bad thing for me.

I am prescribed fexofenadine & bisoprolol - piriton seemed to to cause AF unless coincidental - definitely check with GP/pharmacist

Thank you. In the past before I was on Bisoprolol I tried piriton and it was awful as it sent the sinus tachycardia into a right old strop. I took another sort after seeing all the comments on here and it was fine. It was called something like Cetrizine.

I have fexofenodine on prescription as other antihistamine we’re not working too well . Plus at £12 a month it was costly and it was the GP who originally suggested I buy them so my wonderful local pharmacist told me to request a prescription. Pharmacists really are one of the hidden gems of the NHS
