Hello :-)

It is early days for you and I was light headed for a long time you have a lot of recovering to do :-)

You say it has been happening the last couple of days which could it point to the heat at the moment as a lot of us are feeling this way

Have you a blood pressure machine always handy to have one and if we feel light headed we can just give it a quick check and make sure it is ok

If it continues or get's worse but hopefully when the weather cools it will get better but if you have a Rehab Nurse have a word with them or your Doctor

Remember to get up slowly especially in this heat :-)

Let us know how you get on :-) x

It maybe one of the medications you are taking.

I have had to be careful with the hot weather too.

Several of the medications I take dilate my blood vessels which lowers my blood pressure which the heat does too.

If you continue with these symptoms I suggest you contact your GP or Cardiologist.

I fell over and broke my ribs when I had low blood pressure. So please do take care.

I also suffer from postural hypotension but mitigated by my bending forward first before standing up.

Thanks for all the comments and advise. Hopefully it'll get a bit better as it cools down.

Thanks

as others suggest, more than likely the very hot weather. Its worth sitting upright on bed or chair for 10 seconds before getting fully upright. Its very early days yet.

People don't understand the importance of keeping hydrated in this weather. Keep drinking water!

and some beer lol

Dear Carlg

It can be a very common side effect of many of our heart meds, my morning combination had me falling over almost every time that I stood up to fast. So talking with the Cardiologist and Nurse it was decided to move some of the tablets to the evening slot.

The change was astonishing and fast, yes I still feel slightly dizzy now but nothing as debilitating as it was { made me scared to go out alone }

I was shocked just how many of the meds can be moved with no detrimental effect to there workings.

BUT and a massive BUT, this can only be done under the supervision of your DR/Cardiologist, Please do not do this yourself.

I hope that it maybe of some help, it transformed my recovery period.

I’m 8 weeks post quadruple and I’m down to only getting dizzy about 50% of the time now the big problem is remembering to get up slowly😵‍💫

It's only to weeks you have crawl before you can walk and walk before you can run. Your body is repairing it's self don't be so hard on yourself. Pills, shock to body and thoughts that don't make sense. Slow and steady wins the race. But check with your doctor and cardio nurse. Take it easy mate 💞
